PANS and PANDAS is triggered by a body overwhelmed by toxins and infections. This affects the immune system and sends it into a tailspin where the immune system goes haywire and can start attacking it's own brain. 

This combination of labs is put together to get the best look we can at the state of the body in the places that these toxins and infections affect the most. 

With a full panel of labs like this we are able to see many of the puzzle pieces that are allowing this condition to be present. Seeing more of the picture allows us to create a healing protocol to start addressing those issues and get the body slowly shifting back to where it should be. 

PANS/PANDAS is not genetic, it is a symptom of an overwhelmed immune system. These labs lead us to the proper, and safe, tools for healing the body. 

Lyme infections are often one of the biggest bacterial and parasite loads on the body, especially in PANS and PANDAS. The inclusion of Tickborne 1.0 is to measure the core infections from Lyme.

The Mycotoxins lab looks for molds toxic metabolites, mycotoxins. This plays a big role in most kids with PANS/PANDAS. 

The Neural Zoomer gives us the best look at the brain in PANS. It offers 55 markers, as opposed to 5, in the Cunningham panel.

Mold, Lyme and toxins wreck the gut in kids (and adults). The Gut Zoomer is added so that we can see the damage and create a better protocol to start shifting the gut back where it should be. Left unchecked, kids can end up with abdominal pain, increased inflammation, parasites, leaky gut, food sensitivities and food allergies. 

A dysbiotic gut means a lowered immune response which perpetuates the autoimmunity attacking the brain.

The OAT (Organic Acids test) measures over 70 metabolites form the urine to give us data on many factors, including fungal colonization, candida, mitochondrial health, clostridia infections and much more. 

The HTMA allows us to check mineral levels in the body to see what has been potentially burned out by the stressors of toxins and infections.

The micronutrient panel is the only blood draw (limited dried blood spot is available) to get us a real good look at all the vitamins in the blood. We look for deficiencies so that we can supplement properly. Without balanced nutrients, the body can't methylate, detox, heal and operate properly.

Recurrent strep is a symptom of a dysregulated immune system, it is not the root cause of PANDAS. A properly functioning immune system will keep strep bacteria at a proper level.

Tickborne 1.0
Lyme, and especially Bartonella, is often found to be a source of brain inflammation that contributes to PANS. Tickborne 1.0 checks for the major Lyme infections, including Bartonella.

Mycotoxins
This urine test checks for mycotoxins in the body. These cause extreme gut damage, immunosuppression and makes it hard to rid toxins and lower infections which lead to autoimmunity.

Gut Zoomer
This stool test is the most advanced on the market and gives us the best look inside the GI tract and of digestive function. Your immune system is dependant on a healthy gut. No autoimmunity can exist without a dysregulated gut microbiome as well.
