Description
Unfortunately, Lyme disease, mold toxicity, and a damaged and unbalanced GI system go hand in hand.
The reason is that both Lyme and mold contribute to creating dysbiosis in the gut. They are also immunosuppressive and allow gut infections and parasites to rage out of control.
What may start with just mold exposure at home, work, or school can inhibit your immune system's ability to function correctly. When someone has mold toxicity, it makes them very susceptible to Lyme, given the exposure. If bitten by an infected tick, mosquito, or other vector or method, your body may not be able to handle the pathogenic attack.
Once either, or both, are settled in your system, your gut health will deteriorate even faster. Both contribute to a leaky gut, leading to substances that shouldn't be in your circulation. Your immune system sees these foreign molecules (like food) as invaders and can create an antibody response. This can lead to increased food sensitivities, allergies, and autoimmune conditions.
As the good bacteria in your gut are further crowded by bad, you can have bacteria grow out of control and have issues with things like h.Pylori, E.coli, clostridia, strep, staph, etc. These infections increase inflammation, which lowers the absorption of nutrients and compounds your problems.
When trying to heal the body, you need to know what you're up against. So when you suspect or want to rule out mold toxicity and Lyme, it's wise to see what state the gut is in.
Visit each of the lab's own individual pages with the links below, then purchase the combo lab set here to take advantage of the lab's discount on the 3 lab combo.
To see what all three labs include, please visit their individual product pages here:
1. Tickborne 1.0 lab (dried blood spot - do at home! There is an option for blood draw)
2. Mycotoxins lab (urine sample)
3. Gut Zoomer (stool sample)
All three of these labs will ship to your doorstep together and all three can be completed at home; Mycotoxin (urine) and the Gut Zoomer (stool). The Tickborne 1.0 is a dried blood spot (finger prick) and can be done at home as well. Matt will forward your results from Vibrant America once they are ready via PDF to your email.
If you are on any steroids or other immunosuppressant drugs, they will inhibit your body's ability to produce antibodies (including those for Lyme and coinfections). It's recommended to do antibody testing (like the Tickborne Lyme testing) after being off those drugs for 6-8 weeks. Otherwise, you may receive false-negative results.
The Mycotoxins and Gut Zoomer lab are not affected by these drugs.
If you need a consultation before ordering to understand the labs better or to have your questions answered, book a consultation with Matt.
If you would like a consultation with Matt to review and interpret your delivered labs, book a consultation with Matt. He can tell you what your results mean and the next best step for you.
